Lizzy Schroeder is a lyric soprano, music educator, and liturgical musician based in the Twin Cities. She has performed in opera, musical theatre, concert, and sacred music settings, with a particular love for storytelling through music and helping others connect through song.

Originally from Iowa, Lizzy began performing at a young age through youth choirs, school music programs, and community theatre. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Education from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where she studied voice and piano and participated in choral and theatrical ensembles. She later completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University.

During her graduate studies, Lizzy performed roles including Maguelonne in Viardot’s Cendrillon and Mme. Silberklang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, and appeared as a soloist in sacred and concert repertoire. She also pursued postgraduate study in Vocal Performance at the University of York in the United Kingdom, where she served as a Soprano Choral Scholar at Leeds Cathedral and sang works including Duruflé’s Requiem and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor.
 
Lizzy’s performance background includes opera, choral music, and musical theatre. Her credits include Dot in Jonathan Dove’s The Enchanted Pig with Leeds Youth Opera, Johanna in Sweeney Todd at the Buxton Opera House, and performances with the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company in Minneapolis. Recent musical theatre roles include Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and Ella in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
 
In addition to performing, Lizzy is a licensed K–12 music educator and private voice teacher. Through her studio, Singing with Lizzy, and her Outschool teaching profile, she works with young singers on healthy vocal technique, musical expression, audition preparation, and building confidence. Her teaching is rooted in encouragement, age-appropriate repertoire, and helping students feel comfortable using their voices.
 
Lizzy also serves as Director of Liturgy and Music at the Church of St. Patrick in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, where she coordinates music for parish liturgies, leads ensembles, and supports parishioners in sharing their musical gifts. Across her work as a performer, teacher, and church musician, Lizzy values collaboration, storytelling, and music’s ability to bring people together.
